Archaeological Education of Mesopotamia

Welcome to JIAEM!

The Institute is designated JIAEM (Japanese-Iraqi Institute for Archaeological Education of Mesopotamia). The Institute tentatively locates the Staff Office in the city of Fujisawa, Japan.

The purpose of the Institute is to contribute to promotion of science and culture, advancement of social education and international cooperation, and progress of sound human resource development, by advancing current information on archaeological studies in the Mesopotamian and neighbouring regions and on their interdisciplinary collaboration with Assyriology, geography etc., archaeological education of younger generations in Iraq and Japan, and cultural exchange between the two countries, toward various supporters over the world who are interested in the ancient city civilization in Mesopotamia.
